About this work

Cast-iron stove plate divided into two zones. The upper zone depicts a richly dressed Aaron standing on a pedestal with an inscription. Above his head is a quatrefoil ornament. The lower zone has a rectangular cartouche with an inscription at the top, with decoration below. Both the inscription and decoration are worn and therefore illegible.
