About this work

Cast-iron stove tile, divided into two zones. In the upper zone a representation with in the center a well. To the left of it Christ seated with next to him still two standing figures. To the right of the well stands the Samaritan woman with a jug next to her on the ground. In the background some figures and the towers of a city. In the lower zone two medallions, on the left with a male head and on the right with a female head. The medallions are surrounded by scrollwork. Marked with the letter VD.
