About this work

Cast-iron stove tile, divided into two zones. In the upper zone, centrally, the well. To the left of it, Christ seated with two standing figures beside him. To the right of the well stands the Samaritan woman with a jug beside her on the ground. In the background, city walls and several other figures are visible. In the lower zone, under an arch with baluster-shaped columns, stand a man, a woman and a child, with the digits of the year 1685 between them. A text band is situated between the two zones. Marked with a C.
