About this work

Flap of a jabot of natural-colored needle lace: flat Venetian lace. On both sides of a central motif of flower vases, curls and flowers is a symmetrical drawing of vases with flowers in a diamond shape of C-curls surrounded by irregular flower branches. The motifs are made with scalloped stitches, whereby with cutouts simple patterns in different flowers and leaves are realized. The motifs are connected by a hexagonal picoted bar ground. The flaps are finished on three sides with a straight edge with picoted arches. One long side is finished with a bobbin lace edge.
