Strip of needle lace with spiral scrolls fashioned into a small cloth

Strip of natural-coloured needle lace, Venetian flat. The strip was made into a small cloth around 1900. Pattern with irregular branched spiral scrolls, to which coral-shaped buds or flowers and short scroll leaves are attached. Ground with irregular picoted bars. Motifs with closely worked buttonhole or buttonhole stitches, without relief and with few decorative stitches. The cloth is sewn together with many pieces. For example, along three sides there are narrow strips with a different pattern, transverse to the spiral scrolls. Around the edge it is finished with a modern trim with dots.
