About this work

Armchair of varnished teakwood. The four corner-placed profiled S-shaped legs transition into S-shaped arm supports and wavy back stiles. The seat frame, with a loose rush seat, is semicircular with scalloped profiled rails, decorated on four sides with pierced leaf and flower work. The round, rising, profiled and rush-covered backrest continues into the hollowed armrests, finished with an S-shaped volute; a repeated flower pattern is applied to the top rail at the front and back.
