About this work
Saucer from a butter boat of soft-paste porcelain (pâte tendre) with a scalloped rim, painted on the glaze in enamel colors and gold. On the flat a city view on Merdervoort. The rim, continuing on the wall, is lightly modeled in alternating three narrow and one wide twisted compartment. In the four broad compartments a rocaille cartouche with bouquets. Gold rim.
