About this work

Plate (fruit plate) of soft-paste porcelain (pâte tendre) with a lobed and pierced rim, painted on the glaze in enamel colors and gold. On the flat surface a city view of Workum. The rim is pierced in a plaited pattern, interrupted by rocaille compartments containing bouquets. Gilded rim. Marked on the underside with the stork, 'WORKUM' and M.
