About this work
Plate of soft-paste porcelain (pâte tendre) with a molded rim, painted on the glaze in enamel colors and gold. On the flat surface a city view of Dordrecht. The rim, continuing onto the wall, is lightly modeled in alternating three narrow and one wide twisted compartment. In the four wide compartments a rocaille cartouche containing bouquets. Gilded rim.
