About this work
Strip of natural-colored needle lace, reticella, between edges of open needlework: drawn thread work. The repeating, symmetrical pattern consists of one row of squares, each composed of four small squares. Each large square is crossed; at each intersection alternately a small densely worked and a large openwork circle. Half circles along the edges. The top and bottom of the strip are finished straight with open diamonds (drawn thread work).
