About this work
Cap of natural-coloured bobbin lace, duchess lace. The model is three-part; two diamond-shaped side pieces and a rectangular middle band are surrounded by a lisière, i.e. sewing band. The lace has an open spool ground and an asymmetrical pattern of loose roses and oak leaves, which are suitable for rosettes.
