Cap band of bobbin lace with zigzag braid

Strip of natural-colored Brussels bobbin lace. A band in a zigzag line is crossed by spiral vines, which enclose fan-shaped medallions. The motifs are connected by a drochet ground. In the bands a coarser hexagonal ground is applied. On the fields bounded by the band are twigs, on which flowers in the shape of pomegranates, pears or winged insects. The strip was presumably used or made for attaching to a cap.
