About this work

Vest or modesty piece of natural-colored needle lace: Venetian relief lace. A semicircular neck shape is cut out from a rectangle. Fine and very branched vines carry feathered leaf scrolls and palmette flowers with deeply cut crown leaves. Many reliefs are still thickened by transverse C-shaped relief details. Bar ground.
