About this work

Collar of natural-coloured mixed lace: Flemish lace or point de Milan (bobbin lace) with a mesh lace ground (needle lace). The collar is rectangular with a point in the middle. On a mesh ground (needle lace) stands a symmetrical border motif (bobbin lace) of rocailles with a fine mesh ground. Cup-shaped flowers with bobbin-edged relief contours stand on the central field, while acanthus leaves form the outlines of the rocailles.
