About this work
Cuff of natural-colored bobbin lace, Valenciennes lace. Repetitive motif of ivy leaves on a fine square Valenciennes ground, surmounted by a row of slightly offset rosettes. The upper edge is finished with a straight border. The lower edge features shallow shells formed by linked wheels. Around the cuff, at the level of the row of leaves, a section is double-folded and sewn down, causing the pattern to partially disappear.
