Strip of Bobbin Lace with Circles and Diamonds

Japanese strip of black bobbin lace: Chantilly lace. On a coarse mesh ground stands a closed border of flat shells, above which symmetrically grouped circle and diamond motifs, connected by scrolls, rise. Radially, leaf twigs emerge, while above the circles large plumes of twigs with rosette flowers shoot up. Above this stands a light, asymmetrical garland.
