Japanese strip appliqué lace with palm tree

Japanese strip of natural-colored appliqué lace, bobbin lace with some details in needle lace applied on machine-made tulle. The ground is evenly filled with a running pattern of palm trees, leaning to the left, starting with a trunk and a fan-shaped crown, then splitting into several trunks and smaller crowns. From the latter spring various branches, decorated among others with arrow-shaped leaves, hanging deep down to the left and right, while here and there garlands are hung in their volutes. Between two trunks always grows a low flowering plant, starting with a fine leaf rosette. The scallops are formed by winding lace strips and feathered leaves.
