Shawl of appliqué lace with large bows

Shawl of natural-colored appliqué lace, bobbin lace with some details in needle lace applied on machine-made tulle. Rectangular model with slightly widened straight ends. Symmetrical pattern with respect to the short axis. At the ends stands crosswise a large bow of an openwork ribbon, whose tails hang down to the corners. Rising from above is a twig, which on fine, curved stems carries among others a cup flower and a carnation. From the middle hangs to two sides each a deep garland with the same flowers. Various scattered flower branches fill the remaining field. Running around are fairly flat scallops of openwork medallions, which rise as wave crests high up into the central field.
