About this work

Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace: Valenciennes lace. On a lattice ground, a square Valenciennes ground, scattered stemless daisies are placed between paillettes. Along the edge runs a wavy border with zigzag line, on either side of which one-sided directed stems with cup-shaped flowers. The motifs are made in linen stitch with openwork edges and cutouts. Overhanging pairs provide a decorative effect and in flower hearts is a snowflake. The strip is gathered onto a narrower strip with stemless daisies sewn.
