Fichu of appliqué lace with a ruffled strip

Fichu of natural-colored appliqué lace, bobbin lace and some needle lace applied on machine-made tulle. A smooth shoulder piece has a wide middle and gradually tapering ends, where the gathered strip is attached past the points. In the middle stands a symmetrically arranged bouquet, among others with a cup flower and a carnation. Flat scallops of mesh medallions run as wave crests high up into the central field. Both the strip and the inner side of the fichu show this border and flower branches in reduced form.
