About this work

Strip of natural-colored needle lace: Venetian relief lace. On an open spile ground stands a running pattern of broad wavy, branched scroll vines. The scrolls are crowned with ever varied palmette flowers, while the feathered leaves are doubled here and there as an arabesque.
