About this work

Strip of Natural-Coloured Needle Lace: Venetian Relief Lace. On a Very Open Bar Ground Stand Irregular Scroll Vines with Leaf Scrolls and Various Flowers. On the Left Side is a Small Section of Old Venetian Needle Lace with Fleshy Leaf Scrolls and an Iris-Shaped Large Flower with Three Thick Relief Borders Which, Identically, Recurs Twice in BK-BR-J-340-A. Far Left is a 19th-Century Copy Attached, in Which Large Openings in Leaves and Flowers Indicate the 19th Century, as Well as the Very Many Lobes Along the Contours. Incidentally, a Wide Running Vine is Widened with a Narrower One. Straight Border with Triangles.
