About this work

Parasol cover of natural-colored appliqué lace, bobbin lace applied on machine-made tulle. Eight radiating winding branches with bell flowers divide the circle into eight sectors, in which on a ground studded with 'paillettes' each time a tuft of three star flowers stands above large and small C-volutes. Within a large volute stands a rose branch. The outer border shows three hollow leaf shells with hanging roses, alternated by a trefoil.
