Round finger bowl cloth of bobbin lace with C-scrolls facing each other and scrolling ribbons

Finger bowl doily of natural-colored bobbin lace. Round model. The repeating pattern consists of two C-scrolls facing each other. Each scroll is made with a narrow ribbon in linen stitch. One curling end runs out into a small rosette flower and at the other curling end is a split stem with two drop-shaped small flowers. This pattern repeats three times and forms a circle with a star-shaped void in the center of the doily and along the outside more or less triangular voids. The voids are filled with a pattern of strongly winding narrower ribbons. The ribbons and motifs are largely made in linen stitch, whether or not with openwork edges and contour threads. The motifs are connected to each other by braids. Some petals and small motifs are made with a decorative ground: a diamond lattice ground.
