About this work

On the lattice ground, a Mechlin ground (also called ice ground), with some scattered four-petal shaped small flowers stands a running pattern. Along the inside stand small hanging rose branches, in the middle a wild rose on larger scroll stems, which spring from the same flower that forms the closure of the purely circular arch-shaped shells. The shells consist of a pearl and rosette border, which enclose a middle band with lattice work. Mechlin lace.
