About this work

Strip of black bobbin lace: Chantilly lace. A grid ground shows an empty top and a heavier symmetrical design towards the bottom. Hollow and bulging double borders, stepping into each other, follow the shells, which alternately consist of half rosettes and an arch of leaves.
