About this work

On the trellis ground, a Mechelen ground (also called ice ground), stands under a stiff row of leaves and flowers a row of double twigs, with on an upright twig small flowers and leaves and on a side branch a hanging rose. The latter forms with 'spoorrails' the shells. Mechelen lace.
