About this work

Strip of natural-coloured mixed lace: Brussels bobbin lace combined with a needlepoint ground, a fine net lace ground. This type of lace is also known under the name: point d'Angleterre. The running pattern is sparse in drawing and consists of interlocking c- and s-scrolls. Large roses, en face and en profil, form deep shells with a leaf and a c-scroll. Fine leaf twigs are turned towards the inside.
