About this work

Fragment of a jug (schnelle) of stoneware with a cylindrical, tapering body and C-shaped handle. Profiles under the rim and above the foot. On the body in relief three times an impressed and applied, elongated panel with depictions of the conversion of Paul, of which the two outer ones are identical. The two outer panels with the inscriptions 'HERR WER BISTV WAS WILTV DAS ICH THV SOL' and 'SAVL SAL WAS VERFOLGESTV MICH'. The middle panel with 'SIE NAME IN BEI DER HANT VD FVRETE INGE DAMASCON'. In each panel the mark 'F.T.'. Siegburg.
