About this work
Stoneware jug (schnelle) with a cylindrical, tapering body and C-shaped handle. Profiles below the rim and above the foot. On the body, in relief, three times a stamped and applied, elongated panel with in the center a representation of King Arthur with the inscription 'CVNNIG ARTVS 1588'. The other two panels with Emperor Constantine and the inscription 'KEISER CONSTANTIN'. Above each panel a mask with scrollwork and at the bottom a coat of arms. Siegburg.
