Jug (schnelle) of stoneware with a cylindrical, slightly tapering body and C-shaped handle. Profiles above the foot and under the rim. On the body, in relief, three rows of three pressed and applied medallions. The middle row with the personifications of Mercury, with the inscription 'MERCVRIVS', Jupiter, with 'IVPETER' and Venus. On the top row from left to right: the coat of arms of Cologne, the Imperial coat of arms and the coat of arms of the Elector of the Palatinate. The bottom row from left to right: unidentified coat of arms with the date '1589', the coat of arms of the Elector-Archbishop of Cologne and the coat of arms of the Elector of Brandenburg. Attached to the handle, a tin mount; lid missing. Siegburg.
