About this work
Stoneware jug on a flat foot with a globular body and a narrow neck. The C-shaped handle is attached to the neck and shoulder. Profile on the neck and light turning marks on the body. On the body, in relief, three times a stamped and applied medallion. The left medallion with the Fall of Man; the middle one with Esther before Ahasuerus; and the fourth with an allegory of Love surrounded by four angel heads and the inscription 'D LEIFDE 1566'. A tin mount attached to the handle, the lid of which is missing. Siegburg.
