About this work

Stoneware jug on a ring foot with an egg-shaped belly and a narrow, ribbed neck. The C-shaped handle is attached to the neck and shoulder. Profiles on the foot and shoulder. Covered with a brown engobe. On the belly in relief three times a printed and applied coat of arms with the inscription 'IOHANS FREIHER HERZO STATTIN IN POMEREN G. E. 1580'. The lower part of the belly with canelures and a horizontal profile. The jug is mounted in a tin mount with a lid. Raeren.
