About this work

Stoneware jug on a high foot with an egg-shaped body and short, wide neck. The C-shaped handle is attached to the neck and shoulder. Profiles on the neck and foot. Partially covered with cobalt blue. On the belly a wide band with incised scrolls with stamped flowers, interrupted by medallions with a floral rosette. The lower part of the belly with a band of canelures. On the shoulder a band of canelures, alternating with compartments in chip-carving. The neck with in relief an impressed and applied band with six electors and their coats of arms. Raeren.
