Armchair (knob chair model) of walnut wood with smooth, turned stiles and cross rails, front legs and back stiles ending in finely turned knobs

One of four armchairs (knob chair model) of walnut, with smooth turned stiles and cross-rails; front legs and back stiles ending in finely turned knobs; back sloping backwards with four flat cross-spindles; armrests curved and ending in a smooth volute, resting on a baluster-shaped support. Seat of woven rush, twisted on top, straight underneath. On the seat of (A) a loose trapezoidal cushion, hollowed out at the corner stiles, covered with watered red silk over a hard filling. The cushion is edged all around with passementerie with woven tassels of alternating yellow and red silk (according to a special pattern). The moiré effect is mirrored with respect to a fold (necessary to obtain this effect) running right across the seat. Original finish is still present.
