Canopy bed made of walnut, fully furnished with curtains and valances of silk

Canopy bed, made of walnut, fully furnished with curtains and valances of silk. The bed consists of a wooden box with a raised headboard, resting on ball feet, with a construction imitated using false hinges, as if the two long sides could be folded down. Inside the box lies a loose bottom, consisting of an oak frame with red-and-white checkered binding bands wrapped around. The square corner posts with imitation bedstead bolts continue into four double-twisted bedposts, upon which, on four iron pins, the canopy and the frame with the outer valances rest. Between the posts, four rods are attached to which three curtains of red moiré silk hang, trimmed with passementerie with yellow and red tassels. The raised canopy is lined on the inside with yellow-pink changeant silk, trimmed with matching passementerie. At the head of the canopy, two yellow curtains are attached, originally slanted, with a cord and tassels around the posts.
