About this work

Stoneware jug on a high foot with a globular body and a long neck with a pinched spout. The C-shaped handle is attached to the neck and shoulder. Profiles on the neck and foot. Partially covered with cobalt blue and manganese purple. On the belly in relief a printed and applied coat of arms with leaf vines and the inscription 'IOHAN GEORG RHEINDORP'. One coat of arms with a winged arrow and two crossed arrows as a crest. The other coat of arms with a lion holding a flower in its paw and a flower as a crest. Attached to the handle a tin mount with the inscription 'I.F.H'. Westerwald.
