About this work
Stoneware jug on a high foot with a pear-shaped body and wide neck. The C-shaped handle is attached to the neck and shoulder. Profiles on the neck and foot. On the belly in relief a stamped and applied coat of arms between floral scrolls. Around the coat of arms the border inscription 'EVG CAS GZ LW V V M H Z S B HV N', consisting of unreadable abbreviations. Above the coat of arms the date '1692'. The floral scrolls consist of engraved stems with relief flowers. Attached to the handle a tin mount with lid. On the inside a mark with 'XXX'. Westerwald.
