Strip of bobbin lace with four-lobed rosette above and below a zigzag band

Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace, blonde. The repeating and continuous pattern consists of a zigzag band dividing the strip into triangular fields. In the center of each field is a four-lobed rosette. Along the top and bottom of the strip runs a shell edge consisting of a series of small circles. The shell edges are finished with picots. The motifs are connected by a coarse mesh ground scattered with square dots. The zigzag band, rosettes and circle edges are made in linen stitch, the rosettes featuring a contour thread.
