Strip of needle lace with suns surrounded by an ornamental border with angular curling lines forming small rectangles

Strip of natural-colored sun lace (needle lace): Tenerife lace. The repeating pattern consists of a square field containing a 'sun': a circular center from which bundled threads form the sun rays. Narrow concentric decorative borders surround the center, becoming wider towards the outside. Halfway, a border with angular curling lines stands out, forming a series of rectangular motifs. In the outer decorative border, a series of dots. In the square field, in each corner outside the circle, three small circles, the middle one forming a sun, with a dot at the end of each sun ray. The top side of the strip is finished with a narrow linen band with an openwork edge. The strip shows two and a half suns.
