About this work
Round dish of lead-glazed earthenware. On the dish a man is painted full-length. The man wears a hat with two large feathers, a vest, a ruff, a shoulder cape, puffed breeches and garters with fringe. In his right hand he holds a glass and on his left hip a sword. Fifteen concentric circles run along the rim, scratched radially by lines in some places.
