About this work
Tin spittoon. The stand ring transitions into a broad, flat belly, which flows into a cylindrical neck. At the top is a wide rim that flares outward. The vessel is closed with a domed lid. The profiled thumb rest runs via a double-hinged joint to the handle, which is attached at the widest point of the belly and then flares slightly outward. The straight spout runs diagonally upward from the widest point of the belly and is closed with a small flap featuring a profiled thumb rest.
