About this work

Fichu of silk, square, embroidered on two sides with a border of flowers and fruits in silver thread and multicolored silk. Model: scalloped along the short sides and unfinished on the long side. Decoration: in the point a symmetrical ornament with a fantasy form in the center with a heart of drawn thread work and leaves of silver thread, above and below which is a flower and flanked on both sides by pears(?). All this is connected by branches of silver thread with leaves of green silk. From here, a scroll of silver thread with alternating a silk fruit and a fantasy flower of silver thread extends on both sides. The hem is formed by a line of silver thread below which are scallops filled with drawn thread work and a single curl. The embroidered border is doubled with a thin cotton fabric for reinforcement.
