About this work

Round plate of polychrome painted faience. On the flat surface a landscape is painted with three Chinese figures: a standing figure with a stick in his left hand, a standing figure with two ropes above his head, and a seated figure in front of a rock. On the rim four flower scrolls are painted, an insect, and along the edge a band with a diamond pattern containing four compartments with flower motifs.
