About this work
Spherical teapot with lid in earthenware, Black Basalt. The pot has a C-shaped handle, a straight spout, and an upright, wavy rim. The lid has a knob in the form of a seated woman with her left arm resting on a vat. The belly of the pot is decorated in relief with allegorical women and music-making children.
