About this work
Collar of natural-colored bobbin lace: Cluny lace. Semi-circular model. The repeating pattern consists of radially arranged fields of three columns and six rows of ovals. The fields alternate between ovals worked in linen stitch with a rosette flower of four leaves in needlepoint, followed by a block of braided open ovals with a pointed oval in the centre, a so-called 'spider with eye'.
