Front bodice or triangular breast piece, consisting of a center piece of silver brocade surrounded by yellow silk ribbons covered with silver tulle, both decorated with ornaments of gold leaf over parchment and edged with a scalloped border of silver tulle, silk appliques, silk chenille, bows of gold leaf and silver thread. Model: triangular center piece of brocade with a silver chain and a yellow silk weft, ending in a heart-shaped ornament. The brocade was meant to give a golden impression, therefore golden-yellow silk was used. Edged around with, and attached with large running stitches to, a cream-colored taffeta silk border, reinforced with parchment. Shoulder straps of yellow silk ribbon, both lined with yellow silk. Scalloped border lined with cream-colored silk. Decoration: on the center piece a symmetrically constructed ornament consisting of plumes, ovals and rosettes of (originally gilded) gold leaf over parchment. At the top edged with a strip of silver lace.
