About this work

Strip of ecru-colored needle lace decorated with a regular pattern of heart-shaped sprigs on a fine hexagonal mesh ground. The lower edge consists of arches with alternately one loose flower and the same flower connected to a horizontal flower twig. The row of horizontal flower twigs forms the transition from the sprig pattern to the lower edge. The upper edge is finished with a straight border. Alençon lace.
