About this work

Strip of bobbin lace, Old Flemish lace. The pattern consists of a tangle of oval knobs with mostly C-shaped appendages. The motifs are connected by a braided ground. The motifs are made in linen stitch with openwork edges. Top and bottom of the strip are finished straight, with the bottom provided with picots.
