Strip of bobbin lace with drops between a zigzag line and a wavy line

Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace, Buckingham lace. The repeating and continuous pattern consists of a zigzag line running almost at the top of the strip and a wavy line at the bottom side of the strip. Between these lines arises a series of drop-shaped motifs. Above the zigzag line the strip consists of a mesh ground, a net ground. Below the zigzag line, in the drops, an ornamental ground is applied, a rose ground. The motifs are made in linen stitch with thick and shiny contour threads. The top side of the strip is finished straight. The shell edge along the bottom side is finished with picots.
